" láe " (และ) means "and" but it is too formal to use in daily life.
We use " láe " when we are on stage,  on TV , radio or in the public place such as the announcement at the airport , sky train station ,...etc.
In everyday life you should use " gàp"
(กับ) instead of " láe "
